
Hummingbirds are nectivorous, but may feed on insects[1].
Term for a bird [animal] that eats seeds, buds, or other parts of plants; for example, Purple Finch, Evening Grosbeak, and others in the finch family[2].
The Hoatzin eats leaves, and has a remarkable crop in order to digest them[2]. Many seed-eating birds will feed insects during nesting time and to their young[2], see insectivorous.
