The Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) is a member of the Cardinalidae family.

Other names

It is also known simply as the common cardinal or redbird.

Desciption

Male Northern Cardinals are dominantly red in colour with orange bills.

Females are of a brownish-amber colour compared to their male counterparts.[2]
