Passeroidea' is a superfamily of oscine passerines, containing Basal Passeroidea and Core Passeroidea. This group includes familiar species such as the House Sparrow, Scarlet Tanager, Common Yellowthroat, Ortolan Bunting, Common Grackle, Baltimore Oriole, Dark-eyed Junco, Eastern Towhee, Snow Bunting, Canary, White Wagtail, Dunnock and Zebra Finch.
Passeroidea is the largest superfamily of Passerida, containing over 20 families and over 1,500 species.
