The Plain Xenops, Xenops minutus, is a species of xenops in the ovenbird (furnariid) family, Furnariidae and its in the xenops subfamily, Xenopinae.

Desciption[]

Bill short and wedge-shaped, the lower mandible conspicuously upturned. Brown above with indistinct whitish eye-stripe and prominent silvery crescentic stripe on cheeks; rump, tail, and wing-band (visible in flight) rufous; throat whitish, remaining underparts dull brown.[2]
