Thinornis is a genus of plovers which consists of two extant species, both of which are threatened. They are variously placed in the genus Charadrius.
- Hooded Dotterel, Thinornis cucullatus
- Black-fronted Dotterel, Thinornis melanops
- Little Ringed Plover, Thinornis dubius
- Shore Dotterel/Shore Plover, Thinornis novaeseelandiae
- Long-billed Plover, Thinornis placidus
A sixth described species, the Auckland Islands Shore Plover (Thinornis rossi), which is only known by one specimen collected in 1840, is of uncertain status.
