Macholophus is a genus of birds in the tit family that is recognized by some authorities, such as the Handbook of the Birds of the World's Internet Bird Collection (2004–2007). It is often considered to be a subgenus of Parus).

Depending on authority, it contains either just the Yellow Tit, Macholophus holsti or Parus holsti or that species plus Himalayan Black-lored Tit, Macholophus xanthogenys or Parus xanthogenys as well as the Indian Black-lored Tit, Parus aplonotus[1].

Yellow Tit is endemic to Taiwan, and Black-lored is found in the mountains of the Indian subcontinent.
